25 Days of Classical Music for Christmastime Day 23

Where in the home stretch now, so it’s time for another Christmas carol medley. This one comes to us by way of English Composer Gustav Holst, and it titled “Christmas Day.” It’s a medley of familiar carols from England. Some of you may know Holst for his most famous work, The Planets, but this sound of Christmas Day is much more typical of Holst. He borrows heavily from English folk music and tends to use very smooth and sleek orchestrations.
